Oil Paintings

To view Tas’s oil paintings, it is necessary to look at early work or some of his more recent commissions.

Tas says that his first love, as far as painting mediums are concerned, is oil painting.

Tas painted a series of realistic oil pictures of teddy bears as an example of how to use oils. The bears are in various settings – “Poppies at Patching’s”, “Climbing in the Snow”, “At the Stables” and “With Musical Instruments”. “Tackle” is an award winning painting.

The series is also available in limited edition prints and as greeting cards.

“I’ve always enjoyed all aspects of oils from photographic realism in landscape, portraiture, animals, still life, and abstract paintings. I use varied makes of paint and. All can be done in different techniques, for abstracts I like using large canvases.”
